Walu-Win Wellbeing

Orange Aboriginal Medial Service offers a range of wellbeing programs for our clients.

To access the walu-win Centre services, clients must first see an OAMS GP, complete the required health checks and receive their walu-win referral. For enquiries about external referrals, please call us on 02 6393 9000. Bookings are essential for all our wellbeing programs.

Women’s Programs

Our women’s group programs are designed to create an environment for women to gather, exercise and share a laugh! Our ladies 45+ years class is low impact and includes everything from cardio classes to relaxation classes.

Class timetable: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 1:00pm-1:45pm.

BE WELL (Breathe Easy, Walk Easy, Lung for Life)

This program is designed to help those with a lung condition or those that are currently smoking to see overall wellbeing results.
It includes an in-depth initial consultation, 2 group exercise classes per week and ongoing one-on-one support. At the end of each class, we also have a yarn about our lungs and ways to keep them healthy.

Class timetable: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 10:30am-11:15am.

Diabetes

Exercise has been proven to be one of the most effective ways to help manage diabetes. That is why we have created our 8-week Diabetes Program for those with Type 2 diabetes. It includes an in-depth initial consultation, 2 group exercise classes per week and ongoing one-on-one support. At the end of each class, we also have a yarn about a health/ wellbeing topic specific to diabetes.

Class timetable: Mondays & Wednesdays @ 1:00pm – 1:45pm.

Teens Class

Our teens class (ages 12-18) is great for those needing to add some physical activity into their weekly routines.

Class timetable: Wednesdays @ 3:45pm-4:15pm.

Cardiac Rehab

Our cardiac rehab class (also known as the walu-win class) was our first ever established class at the walu-win Centre. It has a focus on those who have heart or cardiovascular disease but is open anyone looking for a rehab program.

Class timetable: Mondays & Wednesdays @ 11:00am – 11:45am. Bookings are essential.
