Permanent Part Time, up to 30 hours per week

About the role
Permanent Part Time up to 30 hours per week
Always ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in your care
Safely transport children and families to Family Time, appointments, extracurricular activities, school or any other required location (This may be outside of Orange)
Supervise Family Time
Role model parenting skills and techniques
Complete written reports reflecting the interactions between the child and their
family members during Family Time
Mentor and support children and young people in achieving goals
Maintain communication with management staff as necessary and report any Risk of Significant Harm
Maintain confidentiality
Support the Yiriyirimbang Team with general Case Management and administration tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL:
1. An understanding of the laws governing NSW Child Protection Services, Mandatory Reporting requirements and Out of Home Care services.
2. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
3. Experience working with Aboriginal families, children, young people and communities
4. A current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
5. Ability to work shifts that may occur during evenings, weekends, and holidays
