About Us

Orange Aboriginal Medical Service (OAMS) is a community controlled, owned and operated organisation that has been providing Medical & Primary Health Care services to the local Orange community since 2005, and outreach dental services to Bathurst, Cowra, Parkes & Forbes since 2010.

OAMS is committed to work in partnership to contribute to “Closing the Gap” in health outcomes and achieving key goals (as agreed by COAG) by implementing initiatives under the following five priority areas:

Our vision is too lead in the delivery of culturally sensitive, holistic and professional health care for Aboriginal people and the wider community.

Our Values

OAMS is a proud member of the Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council (AH&MRC) who is the NSW peak body for the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services sector  (ACCHS), National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) who is the National peak body for the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services sector and also a member of a regional consortia of ACCHS entitled Bila Muuji Regional Aboriginal Health Services.

OAMS is focused on current and projected health issues, with ongoing enhancement and expansion of clinical services to meet demand, to maintain our existing accredited management practices and to consolidate our regional based services to continue to support our local and outlying communities.
