Orange Aboriginal Medical Service or OAMS is making a difference to the health of Aboriginal families and the wider community of Central Western NSW. OAMS started in 2005, as a self determined Aboriginal organisation with a vision to be a leader in health and in the community.

OAMS governance structure is commended by Commonwealth Health and provides flexibility to take advantage of opportunities, and that means OAMS can deliver health outcomes with a difference!   The  GP-led medical service is complimented by integrated on-going care with other health professionals, and supported by appointment booking, patient transport and follow up.

A whole of life approach to health, OAMS provides health services from antenatal, dental and a range of health programs, all delivered in a culturally sensitive manner.  With a large number of clients, plus the majority of Aboriginal people in Orange using the service, OAMS is helping to ‘Close the Gap’ in Indigenous health.

Orange Aboriginal Medical Service is excited to announce our upcoming Close the Gap Ball!

OAMS is dedicated to closing the gap for our people, it is important to us that we raise awareness of the current health issues affecting our mob.

The Close the Gap Ball aims to highlight the steps we are taking to improve the health of our community and to raise funds that will go towards Stage 3 of our facility.

We hope to see you all there, stay tuned for more updates!
To find out more information or to be involved, contact Zoe Byrne on 02 6393 9000 or email zoeb@oams.net.au.
